Polder Chill Station
A winner of a GOOD DESIGN® Award, this design accomplishes more than just a simple ice bucket. It features a beverage bottle compartment that is separate but still kept chilled from the larger ice cube storage section via a stainless steel sleeve, which allows appropriate thermal conductivity. This separation also helps the bottle and its label to remain dry while also keeping the ice cubes clean and hygienic after the bottle is handled and put back in the station. The double wall insulation allows the ice and bottle to remain chilled for an extended time.
Luke completed this project while at Veloce Engineering as Lead Industrial Designer.
