The owner and Principal Industrial Designer of LUUK Designs is Luke Johnson, with over 20 years of experience designing a broad range of physical products. He has developed a sensitivity to the needs of both brands and their customers, resulting in more than a few design award winners and market successes, all the while being a pleasantly unpretentious guy that clients find easy to work with.

Luke works for a wide gamut of clients on projects of all kinds of sizes and scopes. Successful designs span several product categories, including small kitchen appliances, housewares, electronics, hardware, and medical devices, among others. He also taught design studios, sketching, and advanced CAD modeling classes for over 15 years at a nearby design school, which has been both relevant and rewarding.

He often performs the work of a small team. He has competence within each step of the design process, and when certain projects require it, is very comfortable managing a multi-disciplinary team from among his network, keeping deliverables clear and milestones on target. Also, given his engineering background, with a good many projects he has executed the level of product detail required for full production, instead of simply handing it off for another to finalize, which helps to ensure the original design intent remains intact.
